When Sof'ella was started, we wanted to create great tasting food, that was also good for you - so we kept the word GOURMET in the name. To date, we remain committed to this goal by creating dishes that are fun, interesting, and full of flavor.
From our Whole Wheat Couscous with Pumpkin and Roasted Red Peppers, to our Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookies, one thing remains the same - Sof'ella's gourmet approach to every dish remains apparent.
At Sof'ella, we also pride ourselves on the fact that our great-tasting dishes are always EASY-TO-PREPARE. Any Sof'ella product that requires the addition of an ingredient, calls only for ingredients typically kept in the pantry of every household: milk, butter, eggs, oil or water. We also work hard at keeping the cooking times between 10 - 15 minutes on our stove-top products. We keep it simple because we understand how busy life can be. We want to make it easy to make a home-cooked meal without the investment of time that could be better spent with your family and friends.
NUTRITION is also a paramount goal at Sof'ella. In many of our dishes, we strive to improve the nutritional benefits to be derived, by playing with the ingredients of each product. With many of our side dishes, we will combine a grain with a bean, not only to play with the texture, taste and look of a product, but also to improve the nutritional content of each serving. We understand, for example, that by combining a bean with a grain, we obtain more of the amino acids that make up the nutritional structure of a protein.
Carlo Brandon likes to tell people that he got into the food business to get his kids to eat right, eat well and eat good food. As it turns out, Sof'ella may actually get all of us (not just Sofia and Stella) to do just that - Eat Right, Eat Well, and Eat Good Food
